“New Abortion Caravan” Brings Bloody Anti-Abortion Trucks and Signs to Sault Ste. Marie as they head to the GTA
Sault Ste. Marie, ON. After being assaulted in Thunder Bay on Saturday, team members with The New Abortion Caravan have arrived in Sault Ste. Marie with their bloody abortion pictures.
The youthful anti-abortion activists with the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR) plan to drop postcards, stand with graphic signs, and drive trucks with bloody abortion images on Tuesday before heading to Sudbury later that afternoon.
Stephanie Gray, spokesperson and executive director of CCBR, said, “Abortion is tolerated by the Canadian public because it is invisible to them. We use our graphic projects to make the victims of abortion visible, showing abortion as an act of violence that kills a baby, so that abortion becomes an unthinkable option.”
Gray said her group was appalled by the violent assault of a business owner in Thunder Bay on Saturday, but refuse to be intimidated. “We will continue with our tour regardless of violence or threats of opposition,” she said, “because someone has to speak for the pre-born children who cannot speak for themselves.”
The New Abortion Caravan will be giving public presentations this week and next as it makes its way to Ottawa for Canada Day. They will be speaking in
Sudbury on June 20,
Brampton on June 21,
London on June 25,
Toronto on June 28, and
Ottawa on July 2.
