MEDIA ADVISORY: New Abortion Caravan Launches from Vancouver Art Gallery

MEDIA ADVISORY

May 28, 2012

Bloody, Cross-Country Anti-Abortion Protest Begins Activity at Vancouver
Art Gallery Tuesday, May 29

WHAT: Opening Rally of The New Abortion Caravan, including presentations by Dr.
Alexander Moens, Simon Fraser University political science professor,
Mike Schouten of the political group We Need A Law, as well as Ruth Lobo
Shaw and Stephanie Gray of the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 29, 2012 @ 12 noon

WHERE: Vancouver Art Gallery, 750 Hornby Street Vancouver

WHY: In 1970, abortion advocates travelled cross-country with the goals
of repealing Canada's Abortion Laws and obtaining free abortion on
demand.  With the 1988 Supreme Court Morgentaler decision, they got what
they wanted.  Now, 42 years later a new group of young people are rising
up to re-trace the steps of these women, except this time it's to undo
their bloody legacy.
