John Heikoop

John Heikoop began his pro-life involvement through the fledgling University of Lethbridge Students for Life. He gained experience and developed an understanding of the importance of pro-life activism over a period of five years with the club, including one as Vice-President. It was when he attended the Genocide Awareness Project put on by the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform in February 2011 in Florida that he finally realized how lives could be saved through graphic images. This week-long university outreach lit a fire of passion in him and allowed him to experience for the first time an effectiveness that can carry the pro-life movement forward, change hearts and minds and save pre-born children.

Following this experience he applied for and was accepted into CCBR's Summer Internship which equipped him with a broad range of skills and training in order to save the lives of the pre-born. The day-to-day pro-life activism on the streets of Calgary and throughout central Alberta has helped him understand not only how much the killing needs to end but also how it can be ended. At the conclusion of his internship, he began full-time employment with CCBR in order to take over as Office and Accounting Manager.

John Heikoop graduated in April 2011 from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities (English, History and Religious Studies). He has since begun a Masters in Counseling through Yorkville University.
