To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to recommend to you Jose (Jojo) Ruba as an excellent teacher to educate and challenge your group on the issues of abortion and pro-life concerns. Jojo spoke recently at our Young Adults ministry on this often controversial and sensitive subject with grace and truth. You will find Jojo and his presentation respectful and compassionate, but also challenging and convicting as he exposes the realities of abortion for both the mother and unborn child.
Part of Jojo’s presentation includes a short video that puts pictures to abortion that are often left out of our sanitized discussions on the topic. Before the video is shown, Jojo respectfully teaches why it needs to be shown and warns of its graphic nature, preparing the audience for what they will see. While some may object to this tactic of presenting the realities of the choice of abortion, however for myself and our group, we found it to be a sobering wakeup to what abortion really means for an unborn baby and it helped to generate much discussion and passion for this issue in a way that we had not done before.
Jojo is a gifted communicator and has a gentle and approachable spirit about him, appropriately using humour and sincerity, while speaking to the whole group in his presentation and one on one with people before and after. I found him to be intelligent, up-to-date, and able to handle questions and comments from all sides of this issue. More than anything, Jojo’s heart for the Lord shines brightly as he urges Christians to become educated and involved in seeking to protect the lives of the unborn and show practical compassion to mothers struggling with this “choice.”
If your group is going to tackle the abortion question, and I think it should, I can think of no one better to recommend to you than Jojo Ruba, whether it be youth, seniors, or the entire church. He will not disappoint.
Grace & Peace,
